Gajah Mina is an exclusive Bali holiday destination on the picturesque West Coast of Bali not far from the renowned Tanah Lot Temple. An intimate Boutique hotel of nine independent vacation villas nestled among tropical gardens and scenic rice paddies. Gajah Mina overlooks its own private beach carved in volcanic rock. The setting is spectacular with natural caves and ancient stone carvings offering romantic walks over the adjacent cliff top headland, rice paddies, coconut grove and long deserted beaches. Gajah Mina was designed by its multilingual French Owner to combine the ethnic characteristics of the Balinese cultural environment with a high level of comfort and sophistication. Furnished with a wide variety of antiques source from throughout the Indonesia archipelago, the villas are fashioned from natural materials such as volcanic stone, teak, coconut wood and unpolished marble. Stained glass bedroom windows add a touch of romance. Private verandahs with loungers are the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sea breeze and bask in the perfume of tropical flowers. A memorable 3 hours mountain bike trip will take you down the wooded slopes of nearby volcano Batu Karu and through traditional villages and their clove, coffee and cocoa plantations. If you enjoy surfing, a five minutes stroll brings you to the Balian break, a fast and powerful wave within sight of the hotel; or maybe you would prefer a few hours rice paddy trekking or river walking.
